Where we're going




... Well it winds from Chicago to L.A. ... More than 2000 miles all the way   ... Get your kicks on Route 66                   


Flying into Chicago (A), we stay there one night before taking the bus up to Milwaukee (B)

At Milwaukee we visit the Harley-Davidson Museum before picking up the bike from Milwaukee Harley-Davidson

Next day (Saturday June 2nd) we leave Milwaukee (B)  and head back down to Chicago (C) and the official start of Route 66, then on to Springfield, Illonois (D). There endeth the first day.

Then, Day by Day we go, from Town to Town, Hotel to Hotel, following The Mother Road...
  • Springfield, IL (D) to Rolla, MO (E)
  • Rolla, MO (E) to Tulsa, OK (F)
  • Tulsa, OK (F) to Weatherford, OK (G)
  • Weatherford, OK (G) to Amarillo, TX (H)
  • Amarillo, TX (H)  to Santa Fe, NM (I)
  • Santa Fe, NM (I)  to Gallup, NM (J)
  • Gallup, NM (J) to Williams, AZ (M)
  • Williams, AZ (M) to The Grand Canyon (L) and to Williams, AZ (M)
  • Williams, AZ (M) to Las Vegas, NV (L)
  • Las Vegas NV (L) to Victorville, CA (O)
  • Victorville, CA (O) to ...

......   Ending at Santa Monica Pier, Los Angeles (P) on Thursday June 14th

and flying home from L.A. the next day.

  1. 24 hours from Tulsa? Is this the way to Amarillo? This would have arrived sooner but the connection from work failed dismally! Heard there might be a few cowboys around Santa Fe way so mind you dodge the bullets! It sounds fab so keep on enjoying.
